FindTheBeat - Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Overview
FindTheBeat is a music beat detection app that listens to music via your device’s microphone, detects the tempo in real time, and suggests dance moves. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Microphone Access
FindTheBeat requires microphone permission to detect musical beats and tempo. Your audio is:
- Processed entirely on your device in real time
- Never recorded, stored, or saved to any file
- Never transmitted to any server or third party
- Discarded immediately after each audio frame is analyzed
Advertising
FindTheBeat displays ads provided by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect certain data as described in Google’s privacy policy, including:
- Device identifiers
- Ad interaction data
- General location (IP-based)
For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before it shows ads. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the app under Settings > Privacy Options.
You can also opt out of personalized ads in your device’s settings under Google > Ads.
Data Collection
FindTheBeat itself does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The app stores only your preferences (selected genre, theme, language, and dance move selections) locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is never transmitted.
Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Google Play Services: Required for ad delivery.
Children’s Privacy
FindTheBeat does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
